I think that people are to blame for this and not Larry's temper. I see similar "annoying" things asked here all the time. If many new visitors would spend time searching our previous conversations vs. posting the same stupid questions, tons of new posts would be answered. Similar thing happens at the Endyn BBS. People don't look up previously available information and waste his time. That may sound anal but when you have such a damn good source, you shouldn't abuse it. He's a older guy who's frankly dying because his heath isn't so hot and he's giving it all still. All this while idiots still login and ask when his SC will be out, over and over. His opinion on this or that when it's been posted, etc etc. I personally understand how he can get annoyed. I think it's a bummer he'll disappear. For those of us who've done business with him and haven't annoyed him, I'm sure we'll still keep in touch with him even if the board dies out.

I just wish I understood why he's still advertising a 'bolt-on' kit on his site and then Hot Rod explains how he has 'no association with the bolt-on faction whatsoever.'

What does he expect? I got so damn excited when I saw his supercharger page. I wish he would take that page down, so he wasnt misrepresenting himself or the company. At the very least it would curb the number of kids who show up and almost wet themselves when they see what he's offering, and quickly hop on the BBS to ask all the annoying questions.

I have so much respect for the man, and he's taught me so much I can't believe it sometimes. And I guess if it wasnt for the SC page lureing me in and making me damn near salivate, I wouldnt have vistied his page so often and eventually learned so much. But, its an unpleasant feeling when you realize you've been had - that there is no SC kit coming out...not anytime soon. you can wait and hold out for it. but meanwhile everyone else is grabbing JRSCs and turbos and you're still sucking wind (NA).

*sigh* I dunno. I hope someone else feels the same way I do.

Most Honda owners are younger generations who are living in the now, not living in the " I'll get it in 4 years when it comes out."

If your gonna base a website basically centered on a Supercharger, (well...)
and you want a professional BBS on it, then usually, professional products have a set release date, set pricing, set anything really...

This isn't a plead to release the kit, this is a "tell you like it is"...
You probably shouldn't hype 12 second street Honda, and take til (how many years/months) to produce it...

(and yes, your pistons, etc etc are top notch, etc etc, good stuff.)
The BBS is overrun by young honda owners who want your Supercharger.
THAT is your big problem.

I just wanted to say that this is one of the most honest responses I've seen to this announcement. People wander across this site and really have no clue that they've entered a place like no other in the "import world".

I found a place that advertises parts for sale, yet will not return my emails when I want to purchase something... these were not price quote requests, but "I want to buy... please contact me" messages. What am I supposed to think? What, I didn't know the secret password? I know that you (larry) don't care if you sell to me or not, and believe that this is what makes you special. I guess it does, but not in an especially good way to many of the people out there.

I'd love to have an Endyn built (rebuilt) motor... apparently I didn't pass your test, so I sit back and don't make stupid comments. I'm not like most people though. EVERY... and I stress EVERY single messageboard on the internet has it's share of idiots and I'm not sure why you expected yours to be any different. Oh, I forgot, you're special. I guess we see how well that's worked.

Seriously though... I truly believe the best thing you can do is shut the board down and continue selling to and dealing with the select few. There's no need to get the hopes up of all the other people out there who will never be able to buy so much as a fuel pump from you because we're not worthy.

Ok, there we go again. People came to HIM asking about HIS stuff and what he can do. He didn't go advertise his 12 second car or his kit. On his own site he said he was working on something and from f'ing day one, he said it'll be done when it's done. If you're too young to deal with waiting, go away. Don't give him shit because it's not out. If it isn't, stop reading the board and bugger off. He doesn't have to do shit, that's the stupid point. Jesus, can't you get it? He's been doing this to help people, not make a motherload of cash trying to sell a kit. The kit was a product of his trying to help the Honda crowd. If these types of attitudes are kept towards nice people like him, they're going to go away and you're going to get stuck with wanna be tuners that'll charge you primo for garbage. If you look at lots of the shit out there today, it's CRAP compared to the quality companies. You just don't get it period. You also don't get that a handful of people are dealing with hundreds of people calling him or mailing him for stuff. When was the last fucking time Oscar jackson mailed you back? Do you feel ignored now? Hell, Reeves Callaway mailing me back for God's sake and I was in awe. The fact Larry posts and mails people PERSONALLY is extremely nice on his part. I'm too mad to keep going. I'm glad he's gone. The poor guy is going to have a heart attack dealing with everyone who doesn't think things through.

T.O.O. doesnt suffer fools, doesnt suffer spoilt brats, doesnt suffer everyone elses lazyness, tolerate crap, or whatever.

He does : offer good advice freely - not just to make a sale; sell great parts at great prices, and innovate new parts using knowledge gained from a lifetime of hunting for 'the racers edge'. I have phoned him a few times to check parts orders and whatever, and he has phoned me back to have a chat - he is the only guy who has taken my money, and then phoned to see if everything is OK with the parts. WTF?, Wow!.

It was getting tiring for me to have to buy questionable import parts at rape prices from gready people. Endyn have been a breath of fresh air, and if they divert attention away from gready companies, then thats fine by me.

If T.O.O. wants to shut down the forum, then fine. The last thing any of us needs is stress, the 'Big Cheese' included.

I dont think he is going to stop his involvement in the import scene, hes not the quitting type, but I can understand why he is fed up of answering the same basic questions over and over again.

Hello all,

The biggest problem that Larry has/have/ever had was he wants to know who he is talking to personally before he will even give you the time of day.(probably because of all the enemies he has made throught his OLD life)He gets REALLY angry about strangers taking "cheap jabs" at him to question his knowledge and authority. I wish he would of made it super obvious to everybody that posts on his site about his *strange* personallity. He and Frank let the whole site get out of hand before they started to rant about filling out the profiles. If he was really anal about it he should of said mail me your driver's liscense before you can become a member or even look my way. Larry is a perfectionist and if he can't get things the way he wants (because of obsticles brought on by other people in his way) then "Fuck it, Fuck em all to hell" so to say. He is a good person, don't get me wrong, but he is very *strange* about getting along with the younger import generation. Few people can get on his good side, but MOST are a bunch of idiots(waste of time) to him. It's a shame that a man with so much integrity is bitching out of his fan club. If you want to catch his attention then you better prove that your intentions are worthy. For example he likes true racers (with a descent record) that compete at the track and anybody who reads his words as if he wrote the Bible himself. Unless you have done about 2 solid years of research about 4 stroke engine technology and use his HOLY site a a guide, then don't bother the man, you'll just get burned and he will let you know that you are a fool. Let the flames begin!!!

Once you tell people you have a proto-type of a 400hp SC 1.6L with stock internals. It is no longer about helping peoplem, its about making name in the import world. If there was no 400HP SC, I bet most of you would not even know Endyn or buy their stuff. Whos to say that hes is not trying to make name/money in import world.

Before you start bashing me, answer this question. Which did you know first? Larry's Supercharge 400HP 1.6L stock internals, or Larry as a tuner?

I am not here to bash on Larry. If everyone would back up and think for a bit instead of bashing me like Larry would.
